MAB International Services Inc (MABIS)

MAB International Services Inc. (MABIS) has decided to indefinitely suspend the collection of placement fee from Filipino workers to be deployed in Qatar and United Arab Emirates UAE. This development came after the successful marketing mission in Qatar by the members of the Overseas Placement Association of the Philippines (OPAP) including MABIS.

MABIS is one of the delegates sent by the OPAP in the recently concluded Project Qatar 2005 at Qatar International Exhibit Center in Doha on September 18 to September 21, 2005. “We always believe that MAB International Services Inc. also have social responsibility to our compatriots. It is for this reason that we decided to indefinitely suspend the collection of placement fee from our applicants. That’s our one way of conveying our sincere gratitude to our new Heroes,” MABIS president and chief executive officer Vilma Burgos said, adding: “Accreditation of our new partner employers in the Middle East countries with the POEA are now being process.”

Among the new clients of MABIS in the Middle East countries include Decoration Center, Al Nabih Co. for Machinery and Equipment, Euro Clinic and Kanoo Group. Burgos also announced that MABIS is planning to put up a liaison office in Doha, Qatar to ensure that their new partner employers in the Middle East are treating Filipino workers very well. It is also expected that the liaison office of MABIS in Qatar will generate additional employment for Filipino jobseekers in Middle East.

The project aims the four CDAs, Community Development Association of Abu el Nomros, Community Development Association of Abu Ragwan, Community Development Association of El Desamy, Community Development Association of El Saff.

1- JOB PURPOSE:

To be responsible for all the pre-constructions activities and to supervise the construction work processes in CDAs’ existing bulding extention in the assigned sites (Abu el Noumros , Abu Ragwan, El Saff and El Dessamy).
To draft construction tender ToRs/capitulate and financial plans.

2- RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
Responsibility

1-Pre-Construction activities
• Preparing ToR for construction tender.
• Launch the tender according to vendor list.
• Review invoices from the renovation contractors and furniture suppliers according to the terms of contracts.
• Draw a construction work plan for each CDA.

2-Supervise the CDAs' extension construction in the assigned sites.
• Assess and approve all foundations and structural elements before concreting.
• Check and Approve all materials delivered from the biginning to the end of the construction works according to specifications and approved samples.
• Be present during the pouring of concrete and assess the quality of the concrete mix.
• Carry out technical tests to ensure and verify construction quality
• Supervise and follow up on all constrcution work ensuring compliance according to the approved drawings such as not limited to : masonry works finishing, electrical and plumbing/sanitary works and requirements .
• Supervise the quality of accomplished work, ensuring that the building will be delivered on time as per agreement
• Issue certificates of payments, invoices, certificate of final completion and hand-over certificate
• Review all contracts’ invoices and take corrective action as necessary.
